I am thrilled to be back at markets and festivals, uniting people with pottery and making new friends along the way. Next to creating, my favourite part of being an artist is seeing the look of happiness on someone's face as they find that perfect mug they've been waiting for.
This past weekend I was very lucky to have a booth at LILAC FESTIVAL in Calgary, which was a phenomenal experience! I vended with my friend Cat of Nan'Darach Designs, and included the work of my friend Marcia, Luminara Designs, in my booth. So much gratitude to all the people who came by our space!!
A new passion of mine is LIVE PAINTING. I have now done this at a couple of events, and am loving the experience of it! It is so great to have abundant inspiration happening all around me, directly influencing my creative process. Also interesting is seeing how other people get invested in the work as I do it, and how it affects them as it is created. This is such a new and fantastic flow for me, I am excited to see where it grows!

Creating is challenging. Ask any artist, parent, or nature itself, every step along the way takes a noted effort and desire to keep going! My biggest challenge in emmersing myself in production is the physical strain, keeping my body without pain from the intense force it takes to create!
But, with every challenge comes opportunity, and this one is no different. In addition to receiving nearly weekly massages (and doing trades for them, yahoo), yoga has become a regular practice. Nothing like being forced to keep your body moving to get you into shape! Also, staff spinning is another regular practice that helps me maintain dexterity and strength in my arms and hands. Its a delicate combination coupled with listening to my limbs that allows me to produce as much as I can!
With physical healing there is also a great deal of emotional, mental and spiritual healing and integration. Suffice to say that this is an intense time for me! However, I am creating some of my best work, every day the pieces are infused with more intention and delight, and the appreciation of my friends and peers is astounding.
I am SO grateful for all my challenges, all my opportunities, and for the exceptional growth I am blessed to be experiencing! I could not be in a better place in my life, and I am looking forward to sharing these creations with the summer sun... ohmygoodness do I miss warmth and sun!

WOW what a crazy summer! Gathering of inspiration has definitely been achieved. And now onto the creation mode of the year... So ready to get back into the studio! I can`t believe that this website is still up, and since I put so much work into it years ago I figure just re-invigorate it. For now, it works!
Its been a year since I last touched clay. I`m expecting there to be some hiccups along this road, and because I am maintaining my wrists there will be lots of yoga and staff spinning to keep up my strength. I`m stoked to develop a winter schedule that has tons of creation and exercise ![]()
The next few months you`ll see lots of updated on this page and my photos, lots on facebook as well. I don`t yet have an online sale page, so for now it will all be available as I create it. I haven`t signed up for any markets just yet since I don`t have a studio going (I attempt the one thing at a time, even though its usually around the three at a time mark). I`ve got lots of back orders and trades to fulfill, so its time to get PROACTIVE! Needless to say, as you can probably tell, I`m STOKED.
To see the sort of stuff I create, check out the gallery. My bio and artists`statement are up here too, though those need updating. Thanks for your support as I get back at it!
Love & Light!
